For up to 14 days, nationals of roughly 170 countries—including India—may visit Hong Kong without a visa or entrance permission. To enter the HKSAR without a visa, Indian citizens must register for and complete the online Hong Kong Pre-arrival registration (PAR).

As of January 23, 2017, unless they fall under one of the categories of exemption, all Indian citizens planning on visiting Hong Kong without a visa must apply for Pre-arrival Registration (PAR). During the PAR’s validity term, a successful registrant is permitted to go to Hong Kong on several occasions without a visa and stay there for up to 14 days each time.

Entry into Hong Kong requires a passport at least six months old. Entry into Hong Kong needs a passport at least six months old. Therefore, when you enter Hong Kong, your passport must be valid for not less than six months.

If you’re traveling by flight on a direct route and won’t be leaving the airport transit area, you don’t need to apply for a PAR. However, you must use a PAR to enter the HKSAR while traveling.
