Indian citizens with ordinary passports are now eligible for visa-on-arrival at all entry points across the UAE.

Visa Options Available:

  1. 14-day visa: Can be extended for an additional 14 days.
  2. 60-day visa: non-extendable.

Both options require travelers to pay the applicable visa fees based on UAE regulations.

Eligibility Criteria: The visa-on-arrival is available only to individuals holding valid permanent resident cards, green cards, or visas from the United States, United Kingdom, or European Union nations.

Passport Requirements: Passports must have a minimum validity of six months from the date of entry into the UAE.

This new policy follows previous measures aimed at simplifying travel for Indian nationals. In February 2023, Emirates Airlines, in partnership with VFS Global, introduced a pre-approved visa-on-arrival service for Indian passport holders to streamline entry. Additionally, Dubai launched a five-year multiple-entry visa for Indian nationals, promoting stronger business, tourism, and economic relations between India and the UAE.

India remains a key source of tourism for Dubai. In 2023, Indian visitors to Dubai increased by 25% compared to pre-pandemic numbers, with 2.46 million overnight stays recorded, making India Dubai’s largest tourism market.
